Invited Session Details

Theme: Technology Risk Management in Healthcare
A focal point of many assessments is the technology used for patient care. Medical devices are increasingly fundamental in delivering patient care and Clinical Engineers work closely with internal technology assessment teams to understand the critical paths where technology plays an essential role but might also create exposure for the organization should device not operate as planned.

We are looking for Presenters (Authors) that are willing to share their ideas about:

• Current Challenges for Hospital-based Risk and Technology Managers
• Novel applications of Risk Analysis Tools
• Unique Applications of Technology

Submission Requirements:

• You must be an ACCE member in good standing (dues paid up, for example) to participate in our sponsored session.
• This event requires a presentation AND a paper submission. The paper must be of original work and is limited to 4 pages. The 'draft' paper must be submitted to the EMBC 2009 Conference Management Website by April 7, 2009*.
• We encourage all interested to consult the following resources:
